Four (4) year college degree in Biological Sciences with courses in microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, and parasitology.
One (1) year documented supervised laboratory experiences; knowledge of quality control / quality assurance methods.
Proficient with computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access;
English Level III proficiency in reading, speaking and writing.
Specific Requirement:
Must be familiar with standard laboratory reagents and proper storage;
Familiar with standard laboratory equipment and quality control / assurance to ensure proper functioning;
Must be knowledgeable of procedures for pure culture isolation for archival of both clinical specimens and pathogens recovered in the laboratory
Must be able to conduct several clinical microbiology assays, including but not limited to, standard bacterial isolation and identification and immunoassays.
